Robinhood Chain Posts Record $989M Daily DEX Volume, Beats Ethereum in Fees

Robinhood Chain logged a record $989 million in single-day decentralized exchange volume on Aug. 30. The two-month-old, brokerage-built blockchain briefly overtook both Ethereum and Base in daily fee revenue.

Daily revenue on the chain hit $2.66 million that day. That topped fee intake on Ethereum and Base alike, according to Decrypt, citing data from DeFi Llama. In the same 24-hour window, the chain handled 5.52 million transactions and saw 22,600 new tokens launched.

The volume figure was first reported by The Block. Total value locked on Robinhood Chain reached a record $708 million, nearly double the level seen in July. Stablecoin supply climbed to roughly $770 million, up 47% month-over-month.

Memecoin trading drove the surge. July’s action centered on CASHCAT, a memecoin that ran hard ahead of its spot listing on the Robinhood app and kept running through it. August rotated toward infrastructure and utility tokens. Speculative volume stayed elevated regardless.

PONS, one of the chain’s dominant launchpads, saw its market cap climb from $20 million to over $200 million in August. LONG, the other major launchpad, pairs memecoins against tokenized stocks. That pairing structure is central to how Robinhood Chain operates. The largest stock-paired token, Artificial Inu (AI), paired against tokenized NVDA, grew from a $1.5 million market cap on Aug. 1 to a $135 million peak on Aug. 30. Its NVDA liquidity pool holds roughly $3.3 million, more than triple the depth of its ether pool.

Memecoins paired against tokenized stocks account for about a quarter of all stock-linked trading volume on the chain, The Block reported.

Other August movers included Delta, a liquidity-layer protocol; UP, a ve(3,3) emissions project; and NetNet, an OHM-style bonding project. Each 10x’d in valuation during the month.

The fee-flip is narrow so far. Decrypt characterized the overtaking of Ethereum and Base as brief, measured on a single-day basis. Whether Robinhood Chain sustains fee revenue above either network across a full week remains to be seen.

What is clear is the direction of retail flow. A brokerage-built app-chain with tokenized equities and a native memecoin launchpad is pulling volume that, a year ago, would have routed through Ethereum mainnet or Base. The $989 million day is a single data point. It is also the largest one yet for a chain that did not exist in June.
