The world’s biggest search engine is dedicating a section to cryptocurrencies on its finance platform.

Alongside the world’s major markets covering the US, Europe, Asia and currencies, Google Finance has added a “Crypto” section spotlighting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

The section gives users a rundown on price, “key stats”, and the latest headlines from the cryptoverse.

Google’s incorporation of cryptocurrencies in its finance section follows a long wave in mainstream acceptance over the past year.

Payments giants like Square, PayPal, and Skrill have all integrated cryptocurrencies within their platforms, and traditional financial institutions like JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs have signaled their interest in Bitcoin.

According to Google Trends, exponentially more users are searching for “Bitcoin” than they are for “google finance,” as interest in BTC and cryptocurrencies at large reach historic levels.

While BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH show up by default on Google Finance’s “crypto” section, additional crypto-based instruments can be found in the search results.

These include 21Shares’ Polkadot and XRP ETPs,  and the Ripple XRP Liquid Index, which trades on the Nasdaq.

Theta, Aavegotchi (GHST) hit new highs as Bitcoin price chases after $50K

Bitcoin (BTC) bulls appear to have found their momentum as BTC price reclaimed the $49,000 level within the last hour.

On March 2 the price dropped as low as $47,000 but currently, BTC is trading above the 20-day moving average. Bulls are likely to make another attempt at flipping the $50,000 resistance to support and a sustained high volume spike could send the price to $52,000 where a daily close would confirm that bulls are back in the driver’s seat.

The card was acquired by Kell at the first-ever live auction for blockchain art for $38,500 — said to be the highest price for a non-fungible token, or NFT, at the time. Mainnet launch and NFT sale lift Aavegotchi (GHST) to a new all-time high

Nonfungible tokens (NFTs) have rapidly become the new hot topic in the cryptocurrency sector, as evidenced by Litecoin (LTC) creator Charlie Lee comparing the current spike in NFT interest to the ICO mania of 2017

The recent pullback in the cryptocurrency market hit decentralized finance tokens (DeFi) pretty hard, but as Bitcoin’s (BTC) price recovered the $50,000, DeFi and NFT tokens bounced back rapidly.

One project that has successfully capitalized on the DeFi and NFT boom is Aavegotchi. The project benefits from its association with Aave, while also focusing on the creation of value-infused NFTs that are limited in minting.

Data from Cointelegraph Markets and TradingView shows that the price of GHST, Aavegotchi’s governance token, rose 35% from $1.36 on March 1 to a new all-time high of $1.86 on March 2 as the community conducted its first NFT sale.

Ethereum now available on Amazon Managed Blockchain

Technology giant Amazon just announced the general availability of Ethereum on its managed blockchain.

According to Amazon Web Services, or AWS, users now have the ability to “provision Ethereum nodes” and connect to the blockchain’s mainnet in addition to the Ropsten and Rinkeby testnets through the Amazon Managed Blockchain. The program claims to offer secure access to the network with “standard open-source Ethereum APIs” and sync to the Ethereum blockchain.

“Amazon Managed Blockchain monitors node health, replaces unhealthy nodes, and automates Ethereum software upgrades, improving the availability of customers’ Ethereum infrastructure,” said the firm. “In addition to DeFi applications, customers building analytical products such as smart contract monitoring tools and fraud detection software can also benefit from this scalable, highly available, and fully managed Ethereum service.”

AWS first launched its Amazon Managed Blockchain in April 2019, saying at the time customers would be able to set up blockchain…
