NFT: crypto art supports Sardinia. Hackatao, Marras and Motta among the artists involved
Sardinia is burning and in this Dante-esque inferno, the cultural association The AB Factory, with the invaluable participation of Antonio Marras, the Italian duo HACKATAO, one of the world’s best-known crypto artists, and many other international artists, have made their digital works available in the form of NFTs to support the island affected by the violent fire.
For the very first time, Antonio Marras enters the world of NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) with a three-piece set of works and his little sheep “Lussu”, whose name is inspired by the writer and politician Emilio Lussu and the municipality of Santu Lussurgiu, which becomes the icon of this artistic awareness campaign with a “flock” of 500 digital works to colour Sardinia.
On the digital.artrights.me platform, it is possible to purchase a selection of NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) – digital works to collect, each of which can be traced back to a digital certificate that ensures their absolute uniqueness – or make a free donation via PayPal or cryptocurrency.
The entire proceeds will be donated to the non-profit organization “Effetto Palla” of Oristano for local animals and to the municipality of Santu Lussurgiu, one of the worst affected.
Among the many artists who took part in the project: Michele Ardu, Valérie Biet, Giuseppina Bacci, Federico Cecchin, Andrea Crespi, Alberto Maria Colombo, Noah D’Alessandro, Emanuele Dascanio, Simon Dee, Francesco Giuliani, Andrea Gola, HACKATAO, Antonio Marras, ManuInvisible, Giovanni Motta, Renzo Nucara, Paola Pinna, Pongo 3D, Caterina Quartana, Rebis The Artist, Alessandro Risuleo, RooBè, WAARP.
The initiative was realized on the Digital Art Rights platform with the support of prestigious partners and professionals who immediately took action in favour of the island such as Art Rights, Phygi.io, Artuu Magazine, The Cryptonomist, DeFi Today, The Swiss Blockchain Consortium and Marco Rubino of Musebbi.
“I hope that Art can restore and bring colur where now everything is black! – says Andrea Concas CEO and Founder Art Rights – We want Art to be present in this tragic moment, even the most innovative kind of art”.
